No.2 Pit – sunk to Wigan Six Feet Mine at 88 yards. Two upcast shafts approx. 560 yards north of coal winding shafts sunk to Arley and Six Feet Mines.

Winding
No.1 Pit – Twin cylinder horizontal engine 28 inches x 66 inches, Cornish valves, parallel drum 15 feet 6 inches diameter, raising two tubs in single deck cages.

Air Compressor
Supplied air for haulage engine in Arley Mine and (1896) to supply air for haulage in King Mine.

Ventilation
Guibal fan 30 feet x 12 feet, Walker Bros., 1873. Duplicate engines horizontal 20 inches x 20 inches stroke. 15,000cfm at 1 inch wg

Pumping
Engine located at surface pumping from King and Six Feet Mines.
Single cyl. horizontal engine 26 inches x 54 inches , two flat rods to “angle bobs”. One 14 inch bucket lift from Six Feet at 88 yards, one bucket lift 8 inches from King Mine at 168 yards.

Boilers
Three Lancashire 7 feet x 28 feet, 55psi.

Bought by Manchester Collieries Ltd (not worked) for coal production quota.
