A six inch (0.15m) thick coal and a 24 inch (0.6m) seat earth overlie 9 feet (2.8m) of flaggy sandstone and siltstone with shaley partings at Park Wood Bottom in Keighley. This is the Thwaites Coal, which said to reach a maximum thickness of 24 inches (0.6m).
