British Mining No 21 – The Greenhow Lead Mining Field
by J.M. Dickinson and M.C. Gill
This title is a revised and enlarged edition of a special publication first issued by the Society in 1970. The volume is the culmination of years of painstaking research into this fascinating area, reputedly once worked by the Romans.
The geology, disposition of the orebodies, shafts, levels and extant remains at surface are here portrayed in meticulous maps and plans and very fully covered in the accompanying text.
This monograph is now out of print, however we do have a number of second hand ones available. These will be clean inside, but might have some fading on the spine. This monograph was re-written and republished as British Mining No 60 with a lot of new content.
