Ian Winstanley, the founder of the Coal Mining History Resource Centre has supplied us with all his data and research and permitted us to publish this on our website, following the closure of the CMHRC website. With the amount of data, it will take quite some time to carry this out; progress updates will appear here.
Updates
- Nov 2020 – some 700 accident and disaster reports have been added.
- Jan 2021 – Lancashire colliery rules added.
- Nov 2023 – the first part of the Deaths & Accidents database was added covering 1900-1991 and containing 86,701 entries. The final part covering 1500-1899 is work in progress and will added soon.
- Jan 2024 – Children’s Employment Commission Reports 1842 added.
