LLANSAMLET. Swansea, Glamorganshire, 14th. March, 1788.

An explosion caused by naked lights resulted in the deaths of 13 from the effects of afterdamp.

Those who died were:

  • Jones, father of the other two.
  • William Johns.
  • A Morris.
  • Trevethan.
  • Phillips.
  • Phillips.
  • Eastman.
  • Morgan.
  • William Roberts.
  • William Owen.
  • Ellis.
