EBENEZER. West Bromwich, Staffordshire. Late October, 1821.

About thirty tons of coal and ironstone fell and killed six men.

Those who died were:

  • James Nash,
  • Thomas Lawson,
  • John Cotterell,
  • John Butler,
  • John Hicks,
  • Rowland Morris.

Morris was heard top cry out after the accident but he later died.
