Two shafts sunk to Cannel Mine, 1848. Deepened to Arley Mine at 315 yards, 1860.
Twin cylinder vertical engine by James Nasmyth, Patricroft.
Conical winding drum 18 feet diameter max., centre brake path. Cylinders 24 inches x 60 inches, slide valves. Two double deck cages carrying two – 6 cwt tubs per deck.
Ventilation – Furnace
Boilers – four egg-end, 5 feet diameter x 36 feet long.
CLOSURE – 1891. (Appears to have been re-worked for a time by Crompton & Shawcross, under J.E. Rayner)
