Oakdale, Sirhowy Valley

This was a small 19th century level that worked the Mynyddislwyn seam. It was also called Waterloo No.2 level and was working both sections of this seam in 1910. Reputedly re-opened during the 1926 General Strike and worked by striking miners for their own use. It is now buried under the Oakdale Colliery tip.
