Robert Beresford Jobling died at Abosso, Gold Coast Colony, In November, 1934, at the age of 22.

He received his training at the Royal School of Mines, and on completion of his course went to West African to join the staff of the Taquah and Abosso Mines, Ltd., on the Abosso mine.

Mr. Jobling was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1931.
