Hiram Henry Jones died at Swansea after a protracted illness in June, 1929, at the age of 76.

He had a very varied experience as metallurgist and works manager, chiefly in copper, his career embracing appointments in South Wales, Ireland, London, South Australia, New South Wales, Peru, Spain, Tasmania, the United States, Chili, and elsewhere.

Mr. Jones was elected an Associate of the Institution in 1894, and was transferred to Membership in 1904.
