Fergus L. de G. Allan died in London on November 6th, 1920, aged 42 years.

His technical education was acquired at King’s College, London, in the years 1897-99, and in May, 1900, he was appointed surveyor with the Mexico Gold at Silver Recovery Co., Ltd., at Tlalpujahua, Michoacan, Mexico.

In January, 1902, he became surveyor and assayer with the Mexico Venture Syndicate at El Oro, and in October of the same year he received the appointment of superintendent of the Mexico Mines of El Oro, Ltd. He was manager of that Company at the date of his death.

Mr. Allan was elected a Member of the Institution in 1910.
