Thomas Edward Bennett died in Cornwall in March, 1925, at the age of 40.

After completing his three years’ course at the Camborne School of Mines in 1905, he remained in Cornwall, three years later being appointed manager of the Hingston & Glitters Mines, Ltd.

In 1910 he joined the staff of the Inland Revenue Department as valuer of mines and minerals under the Finance Act of 1909. In 1914 he was appointed mineral agent of the Duchy of Cornwall, and in 1916 he became manager of the Duchy of Cornwall’s mining operations at Gunnislake.

Mr. Bennett was elected an Associate of the Institution in 1909 and was transferred to Membership in 1920.
