Leonard Arthur Fuller was killed in action whilst flying over the German lines on May 17th, 1917.

He was 25 years of age and was educated at the Whitgift Grammar School, Croydon, and at the Royal School of Mines.

When war broke out he joined the London University O.T.C. and obtained a commission in the Durham Light Infantry. Subsequently he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps, where he soon obtained his wings. He was shot in the neck and killed instantly while making his last flight, but his observer succeeded in bringing back the machine with his slain comrade safely into British lines.

Mr. Fuller was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1918.
