Kenneth Burden Goode died on 29th December, 1965. He was 75 years of age.

Mr. Goode was educated at Adelaide University and the South Australian School of Mines, where he gained the degree of B.E. in 1914. He joined Broken Hill South Ltd., as a mill hand, but with the outbreak of the first world war joined the 15 Australian Division and the Royal Garrison Artillery. He was mentioned in despatches and was awarded the Italian Silver Medal for Valour in June, 1918.

In 1919 Mr. Goode joined Minerals Separation, Ltd., working on coal and zinc flotation, and in 1923 moved to Chile to take up a post as mill superintendent. He subsequently held a similar post with number of firms in Bolivia, Wales, Italy and Burma.

In 1949 he joined Mount Isa Mines, Ltd. Queensland, as head designer, remaining there until 1959, when he accepted an appointment as design engineer with Warman Equipment, Pty., Ltd., New South Wales. He stayed with that company until shortly before his death.

Mr. Goode was elected to Associate Membership of the Institution of Mining and Metallurgy in 1920 and was transferred to full membership in 1946.
