Leonard Clifford Green died suddenly on July 18th, 1918, in Australia.

He received his early technical education at the Mining School of Sydney University, N.S.W., and from 1896 to 1903 was engaged on the Geological, Survey of Queensland. From 1903 to 1911 he occupied the position of Lecturer on Chemistry, Geology, Mining and Assaying at the Brisbane Technical College, at the same time practising as a consulting geologist. From 1911 to the date of his death he was in private practice in Queensland.

Mr. Green was elected an Associate of the Institution in 1908.
