Percy Grave died from heart disease at Pachuca, Mexico, on January 22nd, 1911.

From 1892 to 1900 he practised as a mine surveyor and held posts as mining engineer in various parts of Mexico, chiefly in Chihuahua. After a year’s absence engaged in prospecting work in New Zealand, he was occupied from 1901 to 1903 in mine surveying and examining mines in Durango and Chihuahua. In 1903 he was appointed assistant superintendent of mines to the Mazapil Copper Co., in the following year becoming superintendent, a position which he held until 1907. He continued to follow his profession in Mexico until 1910, when he took up an engagement on the La Leonesa Mines, Nicaragua.

Mr. Grave was elected an Associate of the Institution in 1907.
