Hermann Theodor D’Oche-Keane was gazetted ‘missing, reported dead’ while serving with the East African Forces during the war.

He was educated in London and Germany and in 1907 entered as a student at the Royal School of Mines, where he obtained his Associateship. He then went to the Crown Mine, Transvaal, where he was employed until he joined H.M. Forces.

Mr. Keane was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1909.
