Stanley Alfred George Laker died in Calcutta early in 1924.

He was a student at the Royal School of Mines from 1916 to 1919, where he graduated with the A.R.S.M. (Mining) in the latter year. Soon after completing his course he went to India to join the staff of Messrs. Martin & Co., Calcutta, and was engaged on the Ghusick and Muslia Collieries until the date of his death.

Mr. Laker admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1919.
