Mansfeldt Henry Mills died on November 22nd, 1921.

In 1872 he entered the offices of Messrs. T.E. Forster & Hurst, of Newcastle-on-Tyne, as an articled pupil, and on completing his time in 1875 he started practice on his own account as a mining engineer with offices in Nottingham, and thenceforth acted as mineral adviser to the owners of large mineral properties, amongst whom were the Dukes of Rutland and Newcastle and the Earls Cowper and Scarborough.

Mr. Mills was elected a Member of the Institution in 1907.
