Joseph Pryor died on November 26th, 1910, aged 59 years.

He had thirty years’ experience in the management of British, foreign and colonial mines, having held posts as mine superintendent in Cornwall, Venezuela and Australia, besides doing a considerable amount of inspecting and reporting work in various other regions. For many years he practised as a consulting mining engineer at Redruth, and he was intimately connected with several Cornish undertakings.

Mr. Pryor was a Fellow of the Geological Society, and was elected a Member of the Institution in 1896.
