George Moyses Roberts died in Perth, Western Australia, in August, 1930.

He was born at Clare, South Australia, and in 1889, took a course in metallurgy, mining and surveying at the Ballarat School of Mines. He then joined the stall of the Broken Hill Proprietary, Ltd. as chief chemist and chief assayer.

From 1895 to 1899 he was general manager of Mainland Consuls, Ltd., Western Australia, and in 1900 was appointed chief metallurgist of Lake View Consuls, Ltd., and in the same year was put in charge of the mill at Great Boulder Proprietary, Ltd. In 1904 he became general manager of the Associated Northern Blocks of Western Australia, Ltd., and of the Associated Gold Mines of W.A., Ltd, with which companies he was connected to the date of his death.

Mr. Roberts was elected a Member of the Institution in 1906.
