David Thomas Williams died in January, 1921.

He was educated at Arnold College, Swansea, prior to 1887, when he was engaged at the laboratory of the Swansea Hematite Iron Co., Landore (now Baldwin & Co., Ltd.), as assistant chemist, for a period of five years. In July, 1892, he became assistant chemist at the works of Elliott’s Metal Co., Pembrey, and in 1902 he was appointed chief chemist to the firm, a position which he held until 1908, when he resigned in order to establish himself in business as an analytical chemist, assayer and metallurgist at 42, Finsbury Square, London.

Mr. Williams was elected a Member of the Institution in 1907.
