Robert Ogilvy Weston died in Southern Rhodesia early in 1932.

During the years 1887-1890 he went through the engineering school at Dulwich, and was then apprenticed to a firm of mechanical engineers in Cambridgeshire. On completion of his articles, in 1895, he went to the Transvaal and for upwards of four years worked in various capacities on the Roodeport, Geldenhuis Deep and Nigel Deep Mines. In 1900 he was placed in charge of the reduction works and engineering plant of the Globe & Phoenix Geld Mining Co., Ltd., in Rhodesia. In 1914 he was appointed consulting engineer to Greater Main Reef, Ltd., Southern Rhodesia, and from that date to his death he retained all his interests in that country.

Mr. Weston was elected a Member of the Institution in 1906.
